We are looking for a Solar PV Engineer to join our client team and help us develop renewable energy solutions for our clients. Your expertise will ensure that our solar installations are efficient, sustainable, and compliant with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in solar energy systems, with a focus on photovoltaic (PV) systems, and must possess a DEWA (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) approved license.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead the design and optimization of solar photovoltaic systems, including layout, component selection, and advanced performance modelling.

Oversee the full project life cycle, from conception to commissioning, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and high-quality delivery.

Provide advanced technical support and expertise in solar energy, guiding the team in complex problem-solving and system troubleshooting.

Ensure that all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and codes, and act as the point of contact for regulatory agencies.

Conduct in-depth site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for new solar installations.

Identify potential solar energy applications in buildings and other environments

Create technical drawings and design documents for solar energy systems

Manage and oversee the installation of solar energy systems on commercial, residential, or industrial sites.

Work closely with government agencies and utility providers to handle documentation and approvals for solar installations.

Lead project planning, scheduling, and implementation for solar installations.

Maintain and ensure system quality, safety, and performance standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during installation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Minimum 10 years of experienced in Electrical Installation and Construction related work, with a focus on government regulations and permitting.

Must be a DEWA Certified Engineer.

Experience with large-scale solar projects in the UAE.

Familiarity with local regulations and industry standards.

Proficient in handling solar project approvals, permits, and working with utility companies.

Excellent knowledge of PV system design, wiring, and installation.

Strong project management skills, scheduling, and team coordination.

In-depth knowledge of solar energy systems, electrical engineering, and renewable energy technologies.

Proficiency in PV design software, CAD, and other relevant tools.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Professional licensure or certification is a plus.
